Why we started Northern Custom Homebuilders.
In 2005, after years of project management experience in commercial and residential construction, our founder recognized a problem: families with 600k–800k budgets were being squeezed between builder assembly lines (where your home is one of fifty) and ultra-high-end custom firms (where every change costs extra and timelines slip unpredictably).
Northern Custom Homebuilders was born to fill that gap. We wanted to prove that you could have premium homes, transparent pricing, realistic schedules, and genuine care for the client—all at the same time.
That mission has not changed. We intentionally keep our annual volume to 7–10 homes so every client gets a dedicated project lead, honest communication, and the attention a life-changing investment deserves.
